Free LightGabler Seminar: 2018 Employment Law Update

Employment law firm LightGabler is presenting a free employment law seminar "New Year, New Laws, New Headaches…The 2018 Employment Law Update." The seminar will be held twice: Tuesday, January 9 in Oxnard and Tuesday, January 23 in Simi Valley.

California courts and legislative representatives have been busy in 2017, planning new surprises for the employer in 2018. To protect the workplace from costly employment disputes and administrative audits, California employers, managers and human resource professionals must stay abreast of the ever-changing landscape of employment laws in our state, as well as a variety of California cities.

In this informative seminar for employers, supervisors and human resource professionals, employment law attorney Karen L. Gabler will cover over 100 topics including untangling the latest jumble of city, state and federal laws, pay equity rules, state and local minimum wage hikes, on-call rest and meal period laws and arbitration do's and don'ts.

The Oxnard seminar will be held at the Oxnard Courtyard Marriott (600 East Esplanade Dr., Oxnard) and the Simi Valley seminar will take place at the Best Western Posada Royale Hotel (1775 Madera Rd., Simi Valley). Both seminars are from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
