Free LightGabler Seminar: Effective (and Lawful) Hiring

Employment law firm LightGabler is presenting a free employment law seminar "Effective (and Lawful) Hiring and On-Boarding of Employees." The seminar will be held Tuesday, March 27 in Simi Valley.

Building a quality workforce begins with effective (and lawful) hiring techniques. Employers must be aware of hiring restrictions and requirements to avoid violating California's hiring laws, deter discrimination claims from applicants and develop an effective employment relationship from the outset.

In this informative seminar for employers, supervisors and human resource professionals, employment law attorney Karen L. Gabler will discuss the effective and lawful hiring of California employees. Topics include new hiring restrictions effective in 2018, legal job postings and advertisements, documenting the hiring process, job applications (and the language you should never use), job references and background checks and interview questions to ask (and not to ask).
