Highway 118 Closed in Both Directions Due to Accident
The accident involves a semi truck.
Traffic in both directions of Highway 118 is closed just west of Moorpark due to an acccident that occurred around 7:20 p.m. Monday night.
The accident took place near Balcom Canyon Road.
Patch is still gathering details of the accident; however, the Ventura County Fire Department confirmed that a semi truck swerved off the the highway, taking out some electrical power lines.

The fire department also said that eight people were transported to medical facilities.
