A home in time for the holidays: Adoption Awareness Month event
Our County. Our Kids. will be celebrating the recent adoption of multiple children during their National Adoption Awareness event on Nov. 14
That moment when a foster child finds their permanent home it’s a life-changing experience: Not just for them but for the support system rallying around the child and their foster parents.
Our County. Our Kids., a program of the Santa Barbara County Department of Social Services, is excited to be celebrating the adoption of nine kids from six different families at the Santa Maria Juvenile Court House.
The celebration also includes light appetizers and beverages along with fun activities for any children who wish to attend.

“It’s always an exciting time when foster youth are adopted and this event is no exception,” said Gustavo Prado, Our County. Our Kids. Department Specialist at Santa Barbara County Department of Social Services. “We couldn’t be happier all the families who are getting adopted today.”
