Police Agencies Plan Increased Presence for St. Patrick's Day
Police will set up checkpoints in Oxnard, Thousand Oaks and Ventura.
Law enforcement personnel will be out in force on Saturday, St. Patrick's Day.
According to a notice from the Avoid the 14 task force, a group of 14 county agencies aimed at reducing impaired driving, some cities will have extra patrols on duty that night and Oxnard, Ventura and Thousand Oaks will have sobriety checkpoints.
The Avoid the 14 notice said agencies will have an increased presence again on May fifth, for Cinco de Mayo.
