Let Indiana Jones Be Your Tour Guide

Library's film series for adults features foreign settings to fit an Armchair Traveler theme.

The Moorpark City Library is offering adults a chance to travel the world without leaving their seats this summer. To go along with its summer Novel Destinations theme for the adults’ reading club, the library will host the Armchair Traveler Movie Series through the end of July.

Debuting Thursday, the series begins with a screening of Raiders of the Lost Ark. The series continues weekly, with shows beginning at 6:30 p.m., through July 28 in the Moorpark Community Center’s Apricot room. The library encourages adults to bring their own dinners, and dessert will be supplied.

July 7: Roman Holiday—Travel to Italy with Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck in this 1953 classic. A princess yearns to take in the sights and sounds of Rome without being recognized, but can she elude the handsome, intrepid reporter?

July 14: Howl's Moving Castle—Enjoy Japan through this anime feature about a teen who is turned into an old woman by a witch's curse.
