LightGabler Free Seminar: Handling Employee Disabilities Without Disabling Your Workplace

Free employment law seminar: "I've Fallen and I Can't Get Up--Handling Employee Disabilities Without Disabling Your Workplace."

Employment law firm LightGabler is presenting a free employment law seminar, “I’ve Fallen and I Can’t Get Up--Handling Employee Disabilities Without Disabling Your Workplace.” The seminar will be held twice: Tuesday, March 8 in Oxnard and Tuesday, March 22 in Simi Valley.

California employers are finding themselves faced with more employee illnesses, injuries and workplace stress claims. While many employers want to be sensitive to any employee in crisis, increasingly burdensome employment laws can hamper an employer's ability to maintain a productive workplace with absentee employees.

In this interactive seminar, LightGabler employment law attorney Karen L. Gabler will discuss the employer’s obligations in handling employee disabilities. Topics will include navigating state and federal disability laws, recognizing covered disabilities, documenting medical issues, accommodating disabled employees and new laws on payment of insurance premiums during leaves.

Both seminars are from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. A continental breakfast will be served.
