Meet An “Amazing” With An Astonishing Gift For Comedic Acting

Stoyanka Mutafova, at 97, is still acting up a storm. Indeed at 94, Stoyanka embarked on a tour of theaters in Europe and North America. Stoyanka began her acting career in 1945, in the Moliere comedy, “Scapin the Schemer.” Heralded as the “Queen of Bulgarian Comedy,” Stoyanka was initially a student of classical philology at the University of Sofia. From there, Stoyanka went on to study acting to great success. Stoyanka also co-founded the reknowned Aleko Konstantinov Theatre in Bulgaria.
