Meet An “Amazing” Who Celebrated His 100 Rasing $$ For Charity
He raised a staggering $38 million U.S.

Tom Moore, at 100, could think of no better way to celebrate his centennial than to raise money for the UK's National Health Services' charities, which, as part of its mission, supports NHS's staff and volunteers caring for COVID-19 patients. He raised a staggering 31 million Pounds ($38 million U.S.) by simply pledging to walk 100 laps around his garden by his 100 birthday. He did--10 laps a day with the help of his walker. He hoped for donations in the thousands, and had no idea his giving portal would yield such a tremendous gift for the NHS.
No stranger to serving his country, Tom fought during WWII, having first trained as a civil engineer. He came up with the 100 laps/donation idea when his 100th birthday party had to be canceled due to COVID. What a way to make lemonade out of lemons. Tom received congratulatory messages from Queen Elizabeth herself, as well as Boris Johnson and many others. He has been hailed as an inspiration, and that indeed, he is.
