Alan Tripp, at 102, along with his co-lyricist & friend, Marvin Weisbord, 88, just released their first all-original songs CD, “The Senior Song Book.” Neither of the two men had ever done anything like this. Alan, who retired from the advertising business, and Marvin, who’d had a career as a consultant, became friends at their retirement home.

Shortly before his 100th birthday, Alan wrote a poem reminiscing about life, and Marvin, wanting to do something special for Alan’s 100th birthday, set it to music. That song inspired more of Alan’s poems, which led to more songs, which in turn led to the two men thinking “What the heck!” and producing their first album two years later. Looking forward to album number two.
