Meet An “Amazing” Who Uplifts And Inspires With Her Piano Talent
Dorothy's last professional gig was at 95.

Dorothy Olson Pauletti, at 102, played the piano at a special event in her honor in the Empire Room at Palmer House in Chicago, where she had performed happily for so many years. Dorothy’s last professional gig was at 95. Since then, she has continued to perform at the retirement community where she now lives.
Dorothy started her professional career at age 9, when she played the piano in the window of a furniture store, advertising its piano department. She played professionally all through her life--right through her marriage, and raising her two children. The most wonderful thing she ever did musically, Dorothy says, was when she played piano as a volunteer for the Red Cross to cheer up wounded WWII soldiers. For her, nothing compares with the experience of looking into their eyes, playing and singing whatever the soldiers wanted to hear.
