Bobby Hull, 80, is an ambassador for the team he led to the Stanley Cup in 1961 – the Chicago Blackhawks – their first in 23 years! His strength and speed were truly out of the ordinary: his slapshot was once clocked at 118.3 miles per hour and he could skate 29.7 miles per hour. To give you an idea of what Bobby’s speed means, top competitive inline skaters average between 18 and 22 miles per hour on long runs. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1983, and considered for many years to be one of the greatest ice hockey players of all time, Bobby was named one of the “100 Greatest NHL Players” in history in 2017. He continues to be an inspiration to aspiring hockey players everywhere.
