Meet An “Amazing!” Whose Musical Artistry Still Moves Us

Dolly Parton, at 73, is reveling in the celebration of her 50 years as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Country music is at the heart of Dolly’s life, and having her 50th year so honored made her feel “very special.” Which, of course, she is! Not only does Dolly have an imposing resume as a singer, songwriter, player of multiple instruments, record producer, actress, author, businesswoman and humanitarian, she has garnered nine Grammy Awards, two Academy Award nominations, 10 Country Music Association Awards, seven Academy of Country Music Awards, three American Music Awards, and the Country Music Association's Entertainer of the Year Award. Not to mention nominations for Emmy Awards, Academy Awards and Tony Awards.

Her current project? “Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings,” which premiered on Netflix in November. What a gift to us all for the Holidays.
