George Takei, at 82, took on what had to be his most challenging acting role--that of a Japanese-American living in a WWII internment camp. Why? Because George experienced that very situation when he was 5 years old. He brought his real-life memories to his adult role in AMC’s “The Terror: Infamy,” which premiered in 2019.

Best known to many of us as “Star Trek’s” Sulu, George has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his TV work. But what many of us perhaps don’t know, is that George has an asteroid named after him; Asteroid 7307 Takei. Way to keep traveling through the cosmos, George!
