David Attenborough, at 93, completed narrating “Our Planet,” an eight-part documentary series for Netflix, and then went on to narrate “Wild Karnataka,” another documentary, this time about the Karnataka forest. David’s fascination with the natural history of our planet is long. As a child--when other boys were collecting comic books--David collected fossils, stones and various natural specimens.
After his service in the Royal Navy, David held a number of positions, but it’s only when he joined the BBC full-time that his true calling as a producer and narrator of natural history programs took off. His varied career at the BBC eventually resulted in "Life on Earth," which set the high standard of quality and professionalism in wildlife film making that generations of documentary filmmakers sought to emulate.
