Moorpark Cooling Center To Open September 29-30

Cooling Center to open in Moorpark on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 29 and 30, from 11 am to 7 pm.

The cooling center is located in the Community Center at 799 Moorpark Ave. in the Citrus Room (middle of the building). Restrooms and vending machines with snacks and drinks are available.

Due to COVID-19 considerations, face masks are required (masks will be available), and social distancing will be implemented. A sanitation station will also be available for sanitizing tables and chairs before and after use.

Please be safe and take care in the extreme heat event, stay cool and hydrated, wear lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothing, and check on at-risk neighbors or friends. Plan to go out early, bring shade, and drink water.
