Moorpark Style Aloha

You never know what treats you'll come across while out and about in Moorpark. On Wedensday at , for example, barista Kevin Taniguchi broke out his ukulele for an impromptu performance of one of his original songs, Pool of Souls.

Taniguchi can be found performing with the rest of his band, the Humble Cats, Monday nights at on High Street, where they are what he calls the unofficial house band for the restaurant's open mic night, which runs from 8 p.m. to midnight.

He said the Humble Cats perform mostly original songs with a positive message.

"My message fully is peace, love and respect," he said.
