Here are some ideas to help plan your weekend.

Each week, Patch picks a handful of weekend events and activities in town or nearby that look like fun. Here is this week's list:
The Gondoliers: Gilbert and Sullivan’s classic musical comedy runs at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays through Oct. 16 (There are select 8 p.m. Thursday performances as well) at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive. $17.50-$23.
The Marvelous Wonderettes: The play takes you to the 1958 Springfield High School prom, where you’ll meet the Wonderettes: Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy, four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts. Shows are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays through Oct. 30 at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, 3050 Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley. $16-$22.

Phineas and Ferb Live: Phineas, Ferb and the gang are coming to the stage at 4 and 7 p.m. Friday at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks. $24-$69.
Simi Valley Days: The annual fair runs through Sunday at Rancho Simi Community Park, 1765 Royal Ave., Simi Valley. Event and entertainment schedules are available online. $4-$7.

The Yardbirds: The 1960s English rock band that brought hits like “For Your Love” and “Over Under Sideways Down” to the airwaves will perform at 9 p.m. Friday at the Canyon Club, 28912 Roadside Drive, Agoura Hills. $28.
