Parks to Officially Launch Campaign
The county supervisor will begin her campaign at an event Saturday.

Ventura County Supervisor Linda Parks, who recently announced her intention to run for the office in the newly formed 26th Congression District, will officially launch her campaign at a kick-off event Saturday.
The event, which will be followed immediately with an envelope stuffing party, is open to the public and will take place at noon at Camarillo's Freedom Park rain or shine.
According to statements issued by Parks, the past Thousand Oaks mayor will not be accepting contributions from PACs, corporations, unions or political parties.

“My campaign is about families, neighbors, Americans, coming together to send a message to the nation that we don't want extreme partisanship, and we don't want politicians who are bought and paid for," Parks wrote in the statement.
