Rev. TJ Woodward is the featured speaker at Unity of Ventura, Sunday, August 14. Services are at 10 a.m. the Santa Paula Room in the Poinsettia Pavilion (3451 Foothill Rd., Ventura).
Rev. TJ's topic title for this week is “The Anatomy of Purpose.” He explains: “When we talk about purpose, we generally refer to something in the outer realm, something we want to do. When we tap into the truth of who and what we are, life naturally becomes purposeful. There’s no striving to achieve something beyond us. We are simply guided in a very powerful way to what’s already there.”
Rev. TJ has touched the Unity of Ventura congregation on numerous occasions with his wisdom, humor and insight. Rev. TJ is the creator of “The Conscious Recovery Method,” a groundbreaking and effective approach to treating addiction. Rev. TJ has helped countless people through his simple, yet powerful teachings.

Music during the service will be provided by Smitty and Juljia, Ojai-based artists known for their uplifting sounds and marvelous vocal harmonies. All lifestyles, faiths, genders and ethnicities are welcome. Following the service is an informal gathering for coffee/tea/snacks on the Poinsettia Pavilion patio with its panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean.
