Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program Accepting Applications In Moorpark

The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program will be open for application from Tuesday, November 3, 2020 to Monday, November 16, 2020. The program is administered by the Area Housing Authority of the County of Ventura (AHA) and applicant(s) will need to live, work, or be hired to work in the AHA’s jurisdiction. The Section 8 program provides rental subsidy, and participants can select their own dwelling in the community of their choice within the jurisdiction from a private landlord.

To be eligible to apply, you must:

1. Meet the AHA residency preference – live, work, or be hired to work in the cities of Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, or the unincorporated areas of Ventura County.
2. • An E-mail address
• Name, date of birth, social security number of each household member
• Annual household income amount

You do not need to rush to apply. Waiting list placement will be based on arandom lottery process and not on a first come first served basis.
