Sharie Lieberg Speaking at Unity of Ventura, July 10

Unity of Ventura Prayer Ministry co-leader Sharie Lieberg is the featured speaker at Unity of Ventura, Sunday, July 10. Services are at the Santa Paula Room in the Poinsettia Pavilion (3451 Foothill Rd., Ventura) beginning at 10 a.m.

Sharie’s topic for Sunday is “Questioning Prayer.” She explains how sometimes it's helpful to look at longstanding behavior and ask questions about what we do, how we do it, and why we continue. Sharie will be posing a number of questions about our own prayer habits, with the intention of helping us clarify our prayer practice, deepen our connection with God, and bring a fresh understanding of the purpose of prayer in our lives.

Sharie Lieberg is a retired registered nurse who worked in hospitals and as a medical IT consultant for many years. She also is a skilled hypnotherapist who recently retired to spend more time with family and in pursuit of her hobbies (genealogy, reading and gardening). Sharie has served on the Unity of Ventura Board of Trustees for most of her 33 years as a member of the church, and currently holds the position of President.

Music during the service will be provided by Smitty and Juljia, Ojai-based artists known for their uplifting sounds and sensational vocal harmonies. Following the service is an informal gathering for coffee/tea/snacks on the Poinsettia Pavilion patio with its panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean.
