Youth Gymnastics, Karate & Dance Classes Begin at Simi YMCA
Classes take place at the Simi Y (3200 Cochran Street) and begin October 23.
The Simi Valley Family YMCA is offering a variety of youth programs for fall. Classes take place at the Simi Y (3200 Cochran Street) and begin October 23.
Gymnastics: Classes cover the fundamentals of gymnastics, tumbling and using different types of apparatus. The program helps with body coordination, motor skills, strength and flexibility. Different levels available for ages 2-11 years old.
Karate/Jujitsu: Classes teach techniques of joint locks, throws, strikes, kicks and blocks. Students will gain endurance, flexibility and improve coordination while having fun and developing self-confidence, respect, discipline and concentration. For ages 7 and up.

Ballet & Tap: Participants will learn structured dance routines, feel comfortable exploring their artistic side and enhance their grace and poise. Instructors will introduce children to the joy of dance in a fun and enjoyable environment. For ages 2-8 years old.
Dance Theater: Dance theater explores and encourages children’s imagination through movement and dance in a fun environment. For ages 4-7 years old.

Kid Fit: Designed to help children develop an early understanding of the basic principles of health and fitness, classes includes good nutrition tips and choices, proper stretching techniques and the physical and emotional benefits of exercise. For ages 3-7 years old.
