Man, 21, Dead in Double Shooting At Sunnyvale Strip Mall [UPDATE]
Another victim, a 24-year-old male, is in critical condition at nearby hospital, police said.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA ā UPDATE: THURSDAY, JUNE 8, 2:10 p.m.
A 21-year-old man is dead following a double shooting in the parking lot of a Sunnyvale strip mall early this morning, public safety officials said.
Officers responded shortly after 2 a.m. to reports of shots fired at Fair Oaks Plaza, a strip mall on East Duane Avenue in Sunnyvale's San Miguel neighborhood.

The first arriving officer found the 21-year-old man, who was declared dead at the scene.
The second victim, a 24-year-old man, was found nearby in the parking lot and was taken to a hospital. He is in critical condition but is expected to survive, Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety Capt. Shawn Ahearn
said.

Investigators believe there was "some kind of altercation" with one or more other people, but they are still seeking witnesses and surveillance video from nearby businesses.

One person has died and another is hospitalized after a shooting in Sunnyvale, the city's Department of Public Safety said this morning.
The department wrote on Twitter at 7:39 a.m. about the shooting in the 900 block of East Duane Avenue.
No other information about the shooting was immediately released.
