Driver Killed In Santa Clara County Solo Crash
A man died after a solo-vehicle crash at the Highway 85 and Central Expressway off-ramp early Monday, police said.
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — A man died early Monday after a solo-vehicle crash at the off-ramp of Highway 85 and Central Expressway in Mountain View, according to the Mountain View Police Department.
Police said officers were dispatched to the crash at about 3 a.m. on Monday, April 27 after a vehicle collided into a wall at the off-ramp.
Responding Mountain View police officers and City of Mountain View Fire Department personnel provided medical treatment to the driver, who was the only person in the vehicle. The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene, MPD said.

All eastbound lanes between Castro Street and the off-ramp were closed during the investigation, according to a report from Bay City News.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No other injuries were reported. The Santa Clara Medical Examiner-Coroner told Patch that the motorist's identification is still pending as of Tuesday.
