Dumbarton Bridge Reopens After Dump Truck-Vehicle Collision [UPDATE]

BREAKING: The accident also caused small fuel spill in bay, CHP said.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA – All lanes of the Dumbarton Bridge have reopened this morning after a crash between a dump truck and a car caused a fuel spill, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 6:26 a.m. on the eastbound side of the bridge that connects Menlo Park and Fremont.

An estimated 5 gallons of fuel spilled into the Bay as a result of the crash, CHP Officer James Evans said. State wildlife officials were called to the scene.

No one was injured in the crash.

Eastbound traffic was blocked until just before 11 a.m., when the CHP announced that all lanes had reopened.
