This Earth Day, Remember the Blue in the Green

Celebrate the ocean on Earth Day with the Pacifica Beach Coalition and Shark Stewards

The San Francisco Bay and Pacific Ocean shapes our local climate, the commerce and health of the people of the Bay Area, and our very future. The ocean is so vital to us every day, but the importance of the San Francisco Bay and our ocean is often overlooked or taken for granted.

Every breath we take depends on ocean health. Each April 22 we celebrate the Earth and our love for her, but let's not forget the other 71% of the planet.

This Earth Day let's celebrate the Blue in the Green and join community members with the Pacifica Beach Coalition celebrating Earth Day by protecting the ocean. Join our community Saturday April 22 at Linda Mar Beach from 11:00 - 2:30 with an EcoFest of Action celebrating the entire blue and green of our beloved planet. Or get up early and help cleaning the beaches and roadways, making a Splash by Ending Trash, and show your love for the ocean on Earth Day from the plankton to the dolphins (and don't forget the sharks!)
