Update: Missing Mountain View Juvenile Found Safe
Mtn. View Teen Girl, 17, Was Last Seen This Morning At Los Altos High School.

UPDATE: Wednesday, Jan. 21, 10:35 p.m.
Mountain View police say a 17-year-old girl reported missing today has been found safe.
Lizbeth Avendano had not been seen or heard from since her mother dropped her off at Los Altos High School around 8:50 a.m., according to police.

She had been considered at risk because it was out of character for her to disappear and she had not been in touch with any family members or friends, police said.

From the Mountain View Police Department: 9 p.m.
Today -- on Wednesday, Jan. 21 at around 8:50 a.m., Lizbeth Avendano, a 17-year-old female from Mountain View, was dropped off at Los Altos High School by her mother. She has not been seen nor heard from since.
Avendano is described as a Hispanic female, 5’04,” 109 pounds with brown hair and eyes. This morning, she was wearing blue jeans with a black, long-sleeved baggy t-shirt with squares on the sleeves and blue Converse shoes. Avendano was also carrying a black laptop-styled bag.
Avendano is considered at-risk due to the fact that she has never been reported missing before and this is out of character for her. Additionally, she has had no apparent contact with family or friends.
