Mom Zapped Teen With Taser In Theme Park Brawl: Santa Clara PD
BREAKING: Santa Clara police say an East Bay mom pulled a stun gun on a teen in a weekend melee at California's Great America.

SANTA CLARA, CA — A 44-year-old East Bay woman was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a minor with a deadly weapon after she allegedly used a Taser stun gun on a 16-year-old girl who got in a confrontation with her daughter at California's Great America Halloween Haunt on Saturday night, Santa Clara police said. El Sobrante resident Leticia Saxton was arrested Wednesday in Hayward and booked into a Santa Clara County Jail, according to Santa Clara police Lt. Dan Moreno.
Friday, Saxton remained jailed at Elmwood Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 bail, records showed.
According to Moreno, Saxton's daughter and another East Bay high school acquaintance got into a physical altercation, and at some point, Saxton used the stun gun on the victim.

The lieutenant said more arrests are expected to be made from crimes that occurred over the weekend. The lieutenant also clarified an earlier statement he made that more than 100 juveniles got in fights across the park and said that, in fact, only 15-20 juveniles got into physical altercations. He said other incidents around the park were mostly thefts.
On Monday, Moreno had said that a group of 100 juveniles caused fights and stole cellphones from attendees at the theme park in Santa Clara on Saturday night.

Police received calls around 10:45 p.m. about the chaos at the park, where more than 20,000 people had gone for haunted mazes and other Halloween-related activities, Moreno said.
Officers responded, stabilized the situation and the park closed as scheduled at 1 a.m. Sunday.
A juvenile was arrested on suspicion of theft and an adult was arrested for being drunk in public, Moreno said.
Security was "beefed up" at the park Sunday night and no major incidents were reported, he said.
Great America officials were not available Thursday to comment.
