Mountain View Buildings Evacuated Due To Smell Of Gas

Mountain View police and fire are evacuating buildings in the area of the 2000 block of California Street due to a strong smell of gas this evening, police said.

People in the area are advised to shelter in place, according to police.

Evacuees are advised to go to the community center at 201 S. Rengstorff Ave. where they can seek assistance from the American Red Cross, police said.
