Mountain View City Offices to Be Closed During the Holidays

Most City offices and non-emergency response facilities won't be open or will have modified hours starting December 24.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- Most city offices and non-emergency response facilities will be closed or have modified hours from Saturday, Dec. 24 through Monday, Jan. 2. Regular business hours are expected to resume on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Below are the details of which departments will be closed and when.

City Hall will be closed from Saturday December 24 through Monday January 2.

Note - to pay utility bills, please use the Utility Drop Box outside City Hall. No start or stop utility service requests will be scheduled during this time. For water/wastewater emergencies call (650) 903-6329.

Community Services:

  • Community Center and Rengstorff House will be closed from Saturday Dec. 24 through Monday, Jan. 2.
  • Teen Center will be closed from Friday, Dec. 23 through Monday, Jan. 2.

The Mountain View Sports Pavilion and Whisman Sports Center will be closed from Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016 through Monday January 2, 2017.

The Center for the Performing Arts business office will be closed Saturday, Dec. 24 through Monday, Jan. 2. The Ticket Office will be closed from Saturday, Dec. 24 through Tuesday, Jan. 3.

  • Shoreline Golf Links will be closed on Sunday, December 25.
  • Docent-led Rengstorff House tours will not be available from Thursday, Dec. 22 through Monday, Jan. 2. Tours will resume beginning Jan. 3.
  • The Senior Center will be closed Saturday, Dec. 24 through Monday, Jan. 2 for scheduled and drop-in programming. The Senior Nutrition site will be operating with limited hours from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27, Wednesday Dec. 28, and Thursday, Dec. 29. All regular programming will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
  • Eagle Pool will be closed on Sunday, Dec. 25 and Sunday, Jan. 1. Saturday, Dec. 24 and Saturday, Dec. 31 will be open for morning lap swim only from 9 a.m. to noon. Regular lap swim hours will take place from Monday, Dec. 26 through Friday, Dec. 30.

Library Services will be closed Saturday, Dec. 24 through Tuesday, Dec. 27; and Sunday, Jan. 1 through Monday, Jan. 2.

The Library will be open on Saturday, Dec. 31 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Municipal Operations Center will be closed from Saturday, Dec. 24 through Monday, Jan. 2. If you have a water or sewer emergency, please hang up and dial (650) 903-6329.

Police/Fire—Nonemergency Services will be closed from Saturday, Dec. 24 through Monday, Jan. 2 (Police Records will remain open during regular business hours, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.).

* Emergency services will be available throughout the holiday period by calling 9-1-1.
