Mountain View Rent Relief Package

(Mountain View, Calif.) — The $500,000 COVID-19 Rent Relief package passed at the March 17 Council Meeting is now active and ready for renters in need to apply. Help is available to support impacted renters earning up to 120% of the area median income, which is up to $110,000 for a one-person household and up to $158,000 for a four-person household.
“Our goal is to service as many tenants in need as possible and we know that many situations are unique,” said Mayor Margaret Abe-Koga. ”The rent relief program is designed to be flexible, so we encourage anyone who is income-eligible and may need help with their rent to apply.”
Applicants must be Mountain View residents impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, such as through loss of employment, reduced employment or wages, increased medical costs, or increased childcare costs. Other COVID-related impacts will also be considered on a case-by-case basis. Assistance is available for up to $3000 for two months to go toward upcoming rent.
