Photo of the Day: El Calderon Restaurant Celebrates 42 Years

Angela Lopez still remembers how on Sept. 1, 1969 the sun shone brightly when her family's restaurant, , opened its doors.

She was 42 at the time. Her son Roberto Lopez, was 15.

Today, 42 years later, Mountain View Patch stopped by the El Salvadorean and Mexican food establishment on the corner of Calderon Avenue and Church Street and took this photo of Angela and Roberto, 57. Angela, now 84, proudly showed off some roses she had received to mark the occasion.
