Police Locate Missing Mountain View Girl, 11

UPDATED: Diana Flores-Lieva was found safe after being missing for more than a day.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — UPDATE: An 11-year-old girl who was reported missing Wednesday morning from Mountain View has been located, police said Thursday night. Details about her disappearance were not disclosed, but police said she is safe.

ORIGINAL STORY: Police are asking for the public's help to locate an 11-year-old Mountain View girl who went missing Wednesday from the city. Diana Flores-Leiva was last seen just before 9 a.m. Wednesday at El Camino Real and Bay Street. She was wearing, jeans, a green sweatshirt with the word "PINK" on it and black shoes, and was carrying a black backpack, Mountain View police said in a Twitter post Wednesday night.

Diana was still missing as of 10 a.m. Thursday. As the search continued, Mountain View police took to social media such as Snapchat and Instagram in the hopes of reaching people in her age group.

Police said Diana is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone who sees her is asked to call Mountain View police at 650-903-6395 or 911.

"We do not have any additional updates to share regarding Diana this morning," MVPD officials said on Twitter at about 9 a.m. — 24 hours after Diana reportedly went missing. "Please continue to keep an eye out for her. We are actively investigating this case + will share new information as we have it."
