Possible 40 Minute Delays on Caltrain This Morning: Updated

Caltrain passengers can expect delays of up to 35 minutes or longer this morning.

UPDATED 10:30AM-

Normal Caltrain service has been restored this morning between San Carlos and Redwood City after a mechanical problem caused a train to break down and delay commuters.

Normal service was restored at 9:36 a.m., but passengers may still experience some residual delays, Caltrain spokesman Will Reisman said.

Train No. 215 broke down at 7:40 a.m. and delays of 30 to 40 minutes were reported by Caltrain officials as trains single-tracked through the area.

REDWOOD CITY - Caltrain passengers can expect delays of up to 41 minutes or longer this morning after a train broke down between San Carlos and Redwood City, a Caltrain spokesman said.
