Shopper Alert! Stein Mart To Open First Bay Area Store

Discount department store chain Stein Mart is opening its first Bay Area store on March 12 in Cupertino’s Homestead Square.

The newly constructed, 31,000-square-foot store will be located at the intersection of Homestead and North De Anza boulevards.

Officials at the Jacksonville, Fla.-based retailer said it identified northern California as a key market for its sales growth, and will also add three locations to southern California this fall.

In 2014, Stein Mart was voted America’s “Best Department Store” by readers of USA TODAY.

Another area retail announcement this week: New Ross Store to Open in Cupertino.
