SoCal Prison Escapee Arrested In Mountain View
BREAKING: A California state prison official says Jason Kohr walked away Oct. 28 from a Los Angeles facility.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — An inmate who escaped from a California state prison in Los Angeles was captured Sunday in Mountain View, officials with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said Monday. Jason Kohr, 36, was taken into custody at 11:35 p.m. Sunday by agents with CDCR's Special Service Unit (SSU), CDCR Spokeswoman Krissi Khokhobashvili said in a news release.
Kohr, who was discovered missing Oct. 28 from California State Prison-Los Angeles County, a minimum security facility, was located by Bay Area SSU agents who had been following investigative leads into his whereabouts. The agents observed Kohr in an allegedly stolen vehicle Sunday night in Mountain View, Khokhobashvili said.
Kohr attempted to run off, but agents caught up to him after a short foot pursuit, the spokeswoman said. He continued to struggle, and agents used a Taser to subdue him and place him under arrest, she said.
