South Bay Cyclist Hit By Car, Suffers Head Injuries

BREAKING: The crash was reported around 6:20 a.m. this morning in the Peninsula area.

SOUTH BAY, CA -- A bicyclist was taken to a hospital with head injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Sunnyvale the morning of Jan. 10, Department of Public Safety officials said.

The crash was reported around 6:20 a.m. in the area of El Camino Real and South Pastoria Avenue, according to Sunnyvale DPS.

Westbound lanes on El Camino Real from South Mathilda to South Pastoria avenues and southbound lanes on South Pastoria Avenue from West Olive Avenue to El Camino Real were closed for an investigation around 7 a.m.
