Sunnyvale-based Company Encourages Next Generation of Women in STEM
Roominate Launches #LetGirlsBuild Video to Encourage Girls to Build Their Own Future

Roominate, the line of wired building kits for girls, just launched a #LetGirlsBuild video encouraging young girls to become whatever they want to be when they grow up. Alice Brooks and Bettina Chen are graduates of the Stanford masters engineering program who founded Sunnyvale-based Roominate to encourage girls to have fun with STEM subjects at an early age.
The intention of the video is to showcase how many different fields there are in the STEM subjects, and by ‘connecting the dots’ backwards in the video, they are able to demonstrate how childhood play can influence interest in STEM. The women in the video are real working professionals, and you can learn more about them at www.roominatetoy.com/letgirlsbuild
You can join in spreading the powerful message of girl empowerment by sharing the #LetGirlsBuild video on social media: https://youtu.be/G3eaJKps9Y4
