MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — The Mountain View Police Department is hoping members of the public can help identify a trio of suspects sought in connection with the theft of a Redwood City man's credit cards that were used to rack up more than $5,000 worth of fraudulent charges.

Mountain View police say the man discovered his credit cards were missing March 30 while eating at a restaurant in the 900 block of El Camino Real in Mountain View.

"After eating his meal, he reached into his jacket pocket to pay for dinner," MVPD said in a statement. "At that time, he realized that his credit cards that had been inside were missing."

Police were contacted the next day by the man. He told them more than $5,000 of fraudulent charges had been made to his various credit cards, and that all but one of the purchases were made at Target on Showers Drive in Mountain View.

"Our officers went to the store to see if footage showed any suspects in the time frame in which the purchases were made," MVPD said. "We learned that three suspects, all men, had used the victim's credit cards to make various purchases on electronics and other items."
