Traffic Advisory: Paving Work on Major Valley Road

A paving project got underway along Lawrence Expressway this week that will affect traffic. During construction, two of the four lanes in a given direction will be closed. Drivers should expect delays and plan accordingly.

To minimize the impact, crews will work in the off-peak direction and at night, whenever possible.

Work will progress in sections south to north, Homestead Road to Highway 237. It should be finished in November, weather permitting.

In addition to a smoother ride for everyone, the project will improve drainage, sidewalks and curb ramps.
