Update: Train Kills Pedestrian Between Mountain View and Sunnyvale

The "Baby Bullet" Caltrain was carrying 59 passengers when the collision occured.

A northbound train has struck and killed a person on the train tracks between Mountain View and Sunnyvale this evening, according to Caltrain officials.

The collision involving Train 381, an express “Baby Bullet” train carrying 59 passengers, was involved in the collision around 6 p.m., Caltrain officials said.

The train left San Jose at 5:45 p.m. and was due to arrive in San Francisco at 6:47 p.m.

Caltrain is setting up a bus bridge between Mountain View and Sunnyvale.
