Women Innovators in Healthcare here in Silicon Valley
Meet exceptional women who are leaders, inventors and entrepreneurs changing health care here and worldwide May 20th at El Camino Hospital.
The Los Altos Women’s Caucus invites you to join Tomi Ryba, the president and CEO of El Camino Hospital. Tomi’s warmth and humor will help lead a lively discussion as she moderates a panel of renown women leaders in health care who happen to reside right here in Silicon Valley. The panel will feature:
- Surbhi Sama, the CEO and Founder of NVision, an early stage, venture backed medical device company focused on female health innovation. She is the holder of numerous patents, and was named one of Forbes “30 under 30” for 2014
- Piya Sorcar, the Founder and CEO of TeachAIDs, is also leading a team of world experts in medicine, public health and education to develop software that solves persistent problems in HIV prevention. She holds a PhD in Learning Sciences and Technology Design, and teaches at Stanford.
- Erica Weirich, the Co-founder and Director of the Global Health Research Foundation, which employs technology to empower health care workers and environmentalists in remote, low resource areas of the world. She is a Family Physician at Palo Alto Medical Foundation, and Adjunct Clinical Professor of Medicine at Stanford.
