The Rose & Crown English Food & Ale House, 547 Emerson St., Palo Alto | 3.5 stars

Scott A.of Stanford says: “Arguably the best bar/pub in Palo Alto, but that’s not saying much. They have a solid selection of beers, and I love coming here for a quick pint or two in the afternoon or on off nights. On big nights, though, things get a bit cramped, and the poor layout of the bar area sometimes makes it impossible to put in your order.”

St. Stephen’s Green, 223 Castro St., Mountain View | 3.5 stars

Emily D.of Mountain View writes: “Best bartenders in the bay. Delicious pub fare and always a selection of beer on tap. Typically soccer is playing on the tv or they’re willing to change it to make it available.”

Molly MaGees, 241 Castro St., Mountain View | 3 stars

Amanda H. of Massachusetts writes: “Fun little dive bar/pub. Casual after work environment during the week and fun (slightly sweaty) place to dance on the weekends. The $5 cover was kind of annoying but it a good choice for going out with a group in Mountain View.”

O’Malley’s Sports Pub & Grub, 2135 Old Middlefield Way, Mountain View |4.5 stars

Kevin C. of Palo Alto says:This bar has been our new spot for the last 3 months and we love it . Me and a coworker checked this bar out one day and have became regulars ever since. This bar offers a lot of things such as beer pong, indoor pool tables, multiple tvs, karaoke , a dj, live bands and a great outdoor patio. The best part about this bar are the bartenders. Very friendly and outgoing. Fast paste service! ’Keep those drinks coming’!!
I’m glad we found this bar though it has a nice atmosphere.”

Maltby’s Restaurant, 101 Plaza N., Los Altos | 3 stars

Foodlover B.of San Francisco says: “Had lunch here with the lady friends because we wanted to eat here one last time before they close. The good news, is that they are remaining open for at least two more months, with no firm close date any time soon. Many of us have eaten here over 15 years. Most times it’s pretty good! Today I loved my salmon teriyaki salad.”
