Corvette Crash On McCall In Menifee Injures 6, DUI Possible: Cops

Witnesses of the crash say the driver of the Corvette was traveling at a high rate of speed before the collision, and DUI was suspected.

MENIFEE, CA — A four-vehicle collision in Menifee left six people hospitalized Saturday, Menifee police said.

Shortly after 9 p.m., the Menifee Police Department responded to a report of a traffic collision near the intersection of McCall Blvd and Southbound 215 offramp, involving a silver Corvette and three other vehicles, according to Menifee spokesperson Chase Coburn.

"Cal Fire arrived and initiated lifesaving measures on the occupant of the Corvette who was trapped inside his vehicle," she said. "Occupants of the other vehicles suffered non-life-threatening injuries. All involved parties were transported to local hospitals for medical treatment."

Their conditions were not released.

The Menifee Police Traffic Unit arrived on the scene and assumed the investigation.

"Witnesses of the crash say the driver of the Corvette was traveling at a high rate of speed before the collision, and this may have been a factor in the collision," Coburn said. "Alcohol was believed to have been a factor as well."
