2 Seniors Vanish In Inland Empire, Public's Help Urgently Sought: CHP
The search for the octogenarians is urgent as a heat wave continues bearing down on the region.
INLAND EMPIRE, CA — Two separate Silver Alerts were in effect Monday morning across the Inland Empire, and authorities are asking for the public's help in finding the missing seniors.
Authorities have issued a Silver Alert Monday morning for an 84-year-old at-risk man who disappeared Sunday night in San Bernardino County.
Roger Nannini was last seen around 9 p.m. July 26 in Big Bear, according to the California Highway Patrol. The alert was activated Monday morning on behalf of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office.
Nannini is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 155 pounds, with gray hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve blue shirt, gray sweatpants, and gray slippers.
Investigators believe Nannini is driving a gold 2003 Toyota 4Runner with California license plate 7ASG313.
Anyone who spots Nannini or his vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately.
Separately, a Silver Alert was in effect Monday for an 89-year-old man who went missing in Hemet.
Raul Martinezordas was last seen about 6:30 a.m. Sunday on Rafferty Road and North Kirby Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Hemet Police Department.
Martinezordas is 5-feet, 8-inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a green beanie, white sweater, tan pants and black slippers.
Authorities believe he is traveling on foot using a walker.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts was asked to call 911.
Temperatures Sunday approached triple digits across the western Inland Empire, and a similar forecast was on tap for Monday.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances or elderly developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
