2 Wounded In Murrieta Shooting, Suspect Arrested

MURRIETA, CA — A suspect in a Murrieta shooting that left two wounded has been arrested, police said Friday.

The Murrieta Police Department Dispatch Center received a call at around 11:24 a.m. Thursday regarding shots fired at a residence in the 39000 block of Bonaire Way. When Murrieta Police officers arrived, they found two shooting victims with non-life threatening wounds inside the home, Lt. Brendan Carney said.

The suspect was taken into custody just after 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

As a precaution, Warm Springs Middle School was placed on lockdown during the police search for the suspect, Carney said.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department also assisted in the investigation.
