RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped three-tenths of a cent today to $2.794, one day after rising two-tenths of a cent.
The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is nine-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 1.3 cents lower than one month ago and $1.136 below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and
Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has dropped 11 of the last 14 days, decreasing 2.9 cents.

"Southern California remains the most expensive spot in the country for gas with the exception of Wailuku, Maui, but the good news is that local prices are not rising as they are elsewhere, and they are well over a dollar lower than this time last year,'' said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager.
