6 Displaced In Hemet House Fire, Black Smoke Seen For Miles
Three adults and three children were forced from their severely smoke-damaged home Tuesday.

HEMET, CA—The Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department raced to the scene of a Hemet house fire Tuesday morning, the agency said.
Shortly before 9 a.m., firefighters arrived at the fully ablaze home in the 44100 block of D Street, a Cal Fire spokesperson told Patch.
"The firefighters were still on the scene an hour later, and heavy smoke remained visible," they said.

Firefighters were able to knock down the blaze quickly, and the full extent of the damage was not yet known.
"The home suffered major smoke damage which resulted in three adults and three children being displaced," the department said. The Red Cross has been called to the scene where one person suffered a minor medical complaint.
