SOUTHWEST RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Following the tragic death of Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Darnell Calhoun, six McDonald’s restaurants are coming together to raise funds to support his young family. Calhoun was fatally shot by a suspect while responding to a Jan. 13 domestic disturbance call in Lakeland Village. He died the same day.

On Friday, local McDonald’s owner/operators Anna Marie Mestas and Mathew Ajayi will donate 25 percent of sales at participating Murrieta, Lake Elsinore and Wildomar restaurants directly to the Calhoun family, according to a press release announcing the fundraising effort.

The community can contribute by ordering dine-in, carry-out, drive-thru, on the McDonald’s app or through McDelivery. See below for the list of participating McDonald's restaurants:

  • 39888 Los Alamos Rd, Murrieta, CA 92562
